1. What number will I receive SMS and calls from?
Urgent messages (e.g., school closure) will be sent/received from 1 844 722 4010. General communications (e.g., newsletters, exams) will come from 1 877 634 2525. To avoid missing any alerts, add these numbers to your contacts and assign them a distinctive ringtone.

2. Why do I need to enter a registration code?
This code is provided in the email you received from Riverside School Board. It ensures that only authorized individuals (parents, students, employees) can register. This is a security measure to protect the confidentiality of our communications.

3. What should I do if I’m not receiving notifications?

  • Make sure your contact information is up to date.
    You can update it anytime by returning to the form link and submitting your information again. Your new registration will replace the previous one.
  • Add the Cobalt sending number to your contacts.
    This increases the chances that messages will be delivered without being blocked or sent to spam.

4. How can I update my preferences?
You can update your information (e.g., phone number) anytime by returning to the form link and submitting the updated details.
Your new registration will automatically replace the previous one.

5. What happens to my data at the end of the school year?
All data is deleted at the end of the school year to ensure confidentiality. A new registration is required at the start of each school year.

6. Do I need to re-register my information every school year?
Yes. This ensures that your contact information is always up to date.

7. Can I add other members of my family?
Yes, as long as they each fill out their own registration form and are among the authorized individuals: parents, students, legal guardians, or employees.

8. What is Cobalt and what is its role?
Cobalt is a secure platform used by Riverside School Board to communicate efficiently with its community.
It allows school principals to trigger an emergency protocol, mobilize RSB teams in real time, and keep you informed at every step via SMS, voice calls, or email.
